Paso Robles Dog Boarding Pet Resort

Meet the Staff Dogs

Chris Stout is the founder and owner of Vineyard Kennels. She formerly lobbied for Congress, working on a National and International Gleanings Program. After dinner with President Reagan in 1984, Chris was given the Presidential Volunteer Action Award.

In 1997, Chris founded Vineyard Kennels in order for her daughter to pursue her grooming business. But with her passion for animals, Chris went to numerous boarding seminars and became credentialed through the American Boarding Kennel Association. She is now happily retired with her dog Bitsy by her side. But don’t be surprised if you see her poke her head in to make sure the beds are made.

Carson Stout is Chris' son. Born in Paso, Carson obtained his BA from UCSB, and returned home a little while later to help run the family business. With his faithful feline sidekick, Madchen, Carson is a businessman with a love for animals.

Jason Gothro first started here at Vineyard Kennels in 2002, and is now the Kennel Manager. Dogs are as much a part of his life as breathing. "Ever since I can remember, I've had no less than 5 dogs, usually about 6 at one time," he says. Throughout the course of his life, he has trained 4 guide dogs, 2 of which are now working as guide dogs for the blind. Jason has taken numerous obedience classes, and even trained his dog Sidney to compete in, and win, agility competitions. He still has Sidney, and 2 years ago added the newest addition to his family, CJ, a black and white cat with amazing hunting skills.

Nick Klingenberg is an animal lover who grew up spending lots of time around animals of all shapes and sizes on his family farm in Kansas as well as close to home in the Central Valley of California. He rescued his first dog Josie recently and loves spending time learning about dogs and how they act according to their surroundings and other circumstances.

Sabria Echevarria was born and raised in Paso Robles. She has been an animal lover her whole life. Working with animals has always been her passion. Growing up she had every pet you can think of from hermit crabs to a pet chicken. "I loved them all" {she says with a big smile}. Being an employee at Vineyard Kennels and being able to spend the day taking care of our client's dogs doesn't feel like a job at all. It's an honor and a privilege and I feel at home. I love every aspect of it from working with our customers to working with my fellow employees. I plan to be around a long time !!

Our mission is to love, cherish, and care for your pet as if they were our own. We truly believe that your animals are as precious and important to you as your very own children. So, in this light, we protect and care for them as if they are an extension of your family. Also, we recognize that each pet is cared for with respect to their age, disposition, and physical and emotional needs. We have worked very closely with veterinarians and caregivers over the years and will continue to strive to become knowledgeable in providing for your pets safety and comfort.
Vineyard Kennels has been a family-owned labor of love for 15 years now. We hope to be here to serve you and your pet for as long as God sees fit to this endeavor. Thank you for letting us care for your pets.
